Following on from reports that The apple company is to move away from The google Maps in order to introduce its own propriety mapping software, Macquarie analyst Ben Schachter recommended that Apple’s current look for deal with The google could equate to the un-paralleled fee.
Despite the hefty fee Schachter has recommended The google continues to make a considerable profit from its placement on The apple company gadgets with an annual $1.3 million gross income generated from the deal.
“Google generated ~$1.3bn in gross look for income through standard look for placement on The apple company gadgets,” Schachter said. “In other words, this $1.3bn of look for income ($335m net look for revenue) in 2011 is at risk if The apple company moves away from The google. $335m represented ~1% of net The google.com look for income.
